At M. Jury Woodworks, each marquetry design begins with a hand-drawn sketch inspired by the natural beauty of flowers, trees, and wildlife found in our local surroundings. We then choose a diverse palette of wood veneers — varying in color, texture, and grain — to bring those sketches to life with depth and nuance.

Thoughtful wood selection: Veneers are chosen not just for color but for how the grain enhances form and movement.
Precision cutting: Layers of veneer are stacked and cut together on a scroll saw, ensuring matched shapes that bring the image to life.
Shading & depth: Hot sand shading reveals subtle tone variations, giving dimensionality and realism to the design.
Assembly & finishing: Pieces are meticulously fitted like a jigsaw puzzle, then integrated into tables, cabinets, mirrors, decorative boxes, and other heirloom furniture.
